Digital Wellbeing is a widely used term, in the sense that when people interact with technology, the experience should support mental and/or physical health in a measurable way. It therefore implies the ability to create and maintain a healthy relationship with technology and to use it appropriately to achieve goals.

The aim of the Digital Wellbeing@School project is to strengthen the capacity of schools and teachers to integrate digital education in a way that promotes digital wellbeing for students. As such, the project will improve students' skills regarding: i) managing online time; ii) making the most of digital learning; iii) evaluating what is displayed on social media; iv) recognising the risks associated with technology.

It aims to cultivate the capacity to integrate digital education for teachers in a way that promotes the health and mental well-being of both themselves and their students. The outcomes of this project include:

1.            A framework for the digital well-being of schools in Europe

2.            A Digital Wellbeing training course and platform for teachers: this is an Open Educational Resource, consisting of 6 modules:

 

a.            Online research and evaluation

b.            Digital content creation

c.             Online interaction and collaboration

d.            Online time management

e.            Digital security

f.             Emotions and respect for the body

3.            Digital Wellbeing Educational Activities Repository

4.            Digital Wellbeing Online Educational Game: an interactive game in which students and young people will have internet and school access with the guidance of teachers.
