Participation of WIDE Services in the Erasmus+ project Orwell

WIDE Services team , led by our Head Instructional Designer, Katerina Tsadima participated in the Orwell Project, an Erasmus+ funded EU project whose main objective is to support digital writing skills in higher education: https://orwellproject.eu/  

In the context of this project, the WIDE Services team together with a research team from the Universidad de Cantabria  in Spain created an educational intervention to promote writing as a tool for learning and critical thinking. This educational intervention is based on two tools implemented at the University of Cantabria:

  • a writing workshop that includes a virtual training in argumentative composition for the Moodle platform as well as materials to promote writing as a learning tool
  • plug-in to extract and analyze information on how students use the resources in the Moodle course

WIDE Services participated in the International Online Forum of Digital wellbeing @ School, which took place on Wednesday 18/10.

Our eLearning specialist, Kyriaki Kolaini, presented "Digiland Stories" , the Digital Wellbeing Online Educational Game that was developed in the project’s framework along with Katerina Tsadima, Head Instructional Designer/ Project Manager of WIDE Services.

The 8th Conference of the Hellenic Adult Education Association entitled "Learning and Change" was held with great success

WIDE Services team, along with WIDE Training eAcademy, participated with presentations at the 8th Panhellenic Conference of the Hellenic Adult Education Association entitled "Learning & Change". This year's conference was held exclusively online due to the participation of researchers and academics from all over the country, on 30/09-01/10. The conference had great success, active participation and speeches by distinguished professors in the field from the USA, Europe, as well as from the Εuropean Association for the Education of Adults.
