This program is a partnership of the lifelong learning programs of Aegean University and WIDE Services (www.wideservices.gr) which is the sole representative of Moodle in Greece, recognized as “Moodle Partner - Certified Services Provider”.
Program’s purpose
The program aims firstly to the acquisition by the trainees of all the necessary knowledge and skills that make up the professional profile of an Expert on Electronic Learning and also their preparation for the International Certification of Moodle - Moodle Course Creator Certificate, the most widespread Learning Management system internationally.
The program has been designed taking into account both the theoretical and practical approaches to planning, organization and implementation of e-learning programs, and the latest technological trends that tend to diversify the Online Distance Education sector in the 21st century.
Modules
It consists of five distinct modules covering the following cognitive domains:
- the basic theoretical foundation of eLearning,
- the process of educational planning with respect to educational material, learning processes, evaluation and quality,
- learning of Moodle and simultaneous preparation for the international certification exams,
- acquiring digital multimedia content development skills using authoring tools,
- the discovery of new trends in e-learning such as virtual worlds, augmented virtual reality, social networks in education, MOOCs, etc.

Certificate of Attendance
The evaluation is based on the principles of lifelong learning and is carried out with multiple and often complementary ways, aiming first and foremost, in the assessment of the trainees’ achievement on the module’s training objectives and outcomes.
Participation in delegated activities, assessment tests and/or self-evaluation, and assignments may be included amongst others.
